THE MOMENTS OF SMALL SMALL HAPPIESS AND.... DREAMS INTO REALITY OF LIFE.......
The installation of brothers to Ministries of Acolyte and Lector.
Though 9/11 is not considered as a good day, it was an important day for the community as well as for the District of India. Because on this day six of the third year Theology students were installed to the ministry of the Acolyte and lector. And Fr. Claudio Weber (Assistant General Superior) was the main celebrant of the Eucharist in which the ministries were given. It was also important day for the community because first time after the Golden Jubilee celebrations Fr. Martin is with us. And so it was also an occasion to celebrate his golden jubilee with the local community. And so it was altogether a happy moment. And in the sermon father emphasized on the importance of the ‘service” rather than being “served”. And it was also emphasized more about the proclamation of the Kerigma and the importance of the Eucharist in our life. Especially for Dehonians, and he did not forget to speak about the comparison between the Eucharist in our life and in the explanation of Fr. Dehon. And it was inspiring, in spite of his little English. And also Bro. Thomas Vinod Chittliappilly expressed his free will to be accepted to get ordination of Deaconate. And soon his permission will be granted, we hope so. And at the end of the Eucharist bro. Thomas gave a small gift to Fr. Martin in the name of the community. And it was a wonderful gift indeed. And though the celebrations were only for the community members and there was none from outside, it was short and sweet and wonderful. And there was a special meal after the celebration of the Eucharist. And all are happy. And we as a community pray for the brothers who are installed to the minor ministry that the Lord will bless them and their intentions and hopes and dreams.
